1. What is the Worldchefs Congress & Expo?

The Worldchefs Congress & Expo is a biennial event that brings together industry leaders and culinary innovators from around the globe. The 2026 edition, themed ‘Pasture, Passion, Plate,’ will celebrate the journey of food from its origins to the final dish, emphasizing the connections food fosters across borders and cultures.

2. What formats are included in the event?

The event format is diverse and features:

  • Expert presentations and workshops;
  • Panel discussions of global issues;
  • An international exposition of hospitality products, professional opportunities,and more;
  • Master classes, demonstrations, interactive sessions, and more presented by world renowned chefs and restaurateurs;
  • The Global Chefs Challenge Finals, where top teams compete for gold
  • Networking events and evening receptions.

3. When and where will the event take place?

The Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2026 will be held from 16–19 May 2026 at ICC Wales, in Newport, Wales.

Yes, there will be recommended hotels and reservations available for attendees. Details will be shared on the event website as they become available.

8. Will there be food and beverages available at the venue?

Yes, 3 lunches, 3 coffee breaks, and 3 dinners are included in the standard delegate package.

9. Is WiFi available at the venue?

Program

13. What is on the Congress program?

The program will feature a range of activities, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and competitions. A detailed schedule will be released closer to the event date. The theme of the Congress is Pasture, Passion, Plate, which celebrates the journey of food from its origins to the final dish and highlights how food connects us all—from farm to fork, across borders and cultures.

14. How many chefs will take part in the Congress, and what countries will they represent?

The Congress is expected to host approximately 1,000 chefs representing over 110 countries


15. What are the categories of Global Chefs Challenge Finals?

There are 4 categories: Global Chefs Challenge, Global Young Chefs Challenge, Global Pastry Chefs Challenge and Global Vegan Chefs Challenge.

17. What are the visa requirements for attending the event in Wales?

If you are living outside of the UK you may need a UK visa to visit Wales. Wales is part of the United Kingdom and the UK-wide visa and immigration system. To find out more visit the UK Government Visas and Immigration website.

If you require a visa, you can request an official invitation directly through the registration form. Once your registration payment is confirmed, you will receive the letter via email.
