General Information

About Wales

Wales is a year-round destination, offering unique experiences in every season. The best time to visit largely depends on your preferences. Spring (March to May) brings mild weather, blooming landscapes, and fewer crowds, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking in Snowdonia. Summer (June to August) is warmer and perfect for exploring coastal areas, though it’s also the busiest time for tourism.

Weather

May is one of the best times to visit Wales, with mild weather, vibrant spring landscapes, and longer daylight hours perfect for events and outdoor activities. While rainfall is less frequent, Wales’ weather can be unpredictable, so it’s wise to pack a waterproof jacket.

Wales’ weather is mild and variable – with average temperatures of around 20°C (68°F) in summer, and 6°C (43°F) at low altitude in the winter months.
